Dreamweaver or Frontpage for developing websites !!!

When it comes to for basic, easy website development projects, webmaster usually prefer for Frontpage or Dreamweaver. Both are widely used softwares based on WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editor which allows you to design web pages like a professionals.  There are many such softwares using which you can design your website easily but it seems that Dreamweaver seems to be more popular due to its simplicity.
Dreamweaver :  Dreamweaver allows you to create templates for your website, using which you can modify, edit all your webpages of your website easily. All webpages created using Dreamweaver have clean HTML coding so that your webpages would look perfect in all available browsers such as Internet Explorer, Firefox, Netscape and Opera etc….  Dreamweaver can handle SSI files and server-side includes through PHP and Python languages. You can also integrate CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) within your code and it will work perfectly. However, Dreamweaver is more prone to error when entering style attributes and can disturb your webpages. Dreamweaver doesn’t requires much resources for its working and can be used on normal computers.
FronPage :  Frontpage a product from Microsoft widely used for building websites. You can have many pre-designed templates which you can use for your  website. You can easily create small personal websites or your online business website using Frontpage. Even Frontpage is WYSIWYG editor so that you can develop your webpages easily, just need to insert text and images you want on your webpages. Frontpage offers you authoring capabilities thus it has been preferred by many novice web designers.
As a product from Microsoft it works perfectly with other Microsoft technologies, you can easily connect MS SQL and MS Access database to your website and can use ASP programming code on your webpages. You can easily add other Microsoft Office applications within your webpages for eg… you can easily publish chart created in Excel, just need to paste it within your webpage and it will be displayed within your webpage. One of the main drawback of FrontPage is that it uses tables with a fixed width by default, thus its difficult for a newbie to get custom webpages with required width.

If you are new to webdesigning then you can consider Frontpage and can start with it, meanwhile you should also try to learn HTML which would help you to get customized webpages. Once you got your hands on basic designing and are comfortable with web concepts then you can move to Dreamweaver, as it have more advance features and tools so that you can build more professional websites with advance features.
